Program Overview
The Quincy Preserves Facade Program is a public initiative aimed at preserving and enhancing the architectural character of buildings in Quincy, IL and Adams County. The program offers assistance and incentives for property owners to maintain, restore, and enhance the facades of their residential and commercial properties.
To apply for the Quincy Preserves Facade Program, property owners need to submit an application form provided below. This application form includes details such as the property owner's contact information, property address, description of the proposed facade improvements, estimated costs, and any relevant supporting documentation such as architectural drawings or photographs.
The program aims to support property owners in restoring period architectural design details and characteristics of building facades and correcting property maintenance code violations relating to a building’s facade. Financial assistance is in the form of a low-interest loan for thirty percent (30%) of the approved facade improvement cost to be repaid to the program and a grant for another thirty (30%) of the approved facade improvement cost with a maximum grant of $7,500. Funding will be made available annually until the budgeted funds for that year are depleted.
